This journey will take you through the culinary landscape of Bhutan. You will learn about food production and preparation and its important role in different domains of society. You will get insights into the role of food for everyday hospitality in local homes, for feasting and festivals in communities as well as its importance in religious rituals and to appease evil spirits. You will be accompanied by trained chef whose life passion is the art of cooking.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

Arrive Paro Leisure time and walk through the village and over night in the hotel.

Day hike to Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) which is Bhutan’s most famous monastery. The monastery is located about 6 miles to the north of Paro. The monastery hangs on the edge of a cliff at 10,000 ft above sea level and about 3,000 ft above the Paro valley, on the right side of the Paro Chu. The rock slopes are very steep, and the monastery buildings are built into the rock face.

Overnight in the hotel

Morning after your breakfast theory cooking class for 1 hour before you step into Kitchen, Practical will be start after the theory class with Bhutanese Head cook in the Hotel only. Today you have 4 hours cooking class and in the evening leisure time.

Cooking class for 2 hours before lunch and 4 hours after lunch overnight in Hotel.

Bhutanese Dish cooking class today. Overnight in Hotel

Drive to Thimphu the Capital City of Bhutan, on the way visit Tamchoe Lhakhang and continue your journey of about 1 hour to the Capital City. Overnight in Hotel.

After your breakfast visit weaving Center and take a class for 1 hour. Weaving class for 4 hours and in the evening overnight in Hotel.

Morning after breakfast drive to visit few places: Painting School, Memorial Chorten, National Library, Trashichoedzong and over night in the Hotel

After your breakfast drive to Paro via Haa Valley about 5 hours. En-route in Haa valley visit White Temple and Black Temple, Lunch in Haa and Continue your drive over Chelela Pass at 3988mtrs, and over night in Paro at hotel

Early morning drive to an Airport for your onward destination.
